Treadmill Bike, Jogging and Cycling At The Same Time

www.AstroDigi.com

Gizmag.com | 28 Mar 2010 | Available through Bicycle Forest, the Treadmill Bike is for people who love the feel of a treadmill beneath their feet but don’t want to be stuck inside pounding away when it’s a beautiful day outside. Bicycle Forest says the creation has the same fat-burning benefits of a conventional treadmill without the gym membership fees (although you do have to buy the bike).

The company says you go running through evergreen forests or strolling down country roads thanks to the rugged design and all terrain tires on the revolutionary Treadmill Bike. The bike’s hard-wearing belt provides grip “while protecting your feet from dirt and other contaminants commonly found on the earth's surface”. If that’s your attitude, don’t forget your helmet, knee pads, face mask, gloves, oxygen bottle, etc.

Additional rail lines will also be built into South East Asia as well as Russia, in what will likely become the largest infrastructure project in history.

CitySailer, Cool Scooter From BMW

www.AstroDigi.com

Psipunk.com | August 2008 | The CitySailer concept looks familiar to BMW’s Solo Scooter, and that is probably the effect designer Christopher Kuh was looking for. The BMW logo sits at the center, between the wheels of the concept. This two-wheeler powered by fuel cells is environmentally friendly, plus its small footprint for the road will keep traffic problems to a minimum.

Peraves Monotracer

www.AstroDigi.com

Mikephilbin.blogspot.com | Sunday, August 02, 2009 | This is the latest in a regular feature where I choose, at random, from the alluring designs out there in the experimental field of personal locomotion ... and this one's really gorgeous.

MonoTracer is a unique 'cabin motorcycle' design that the company Peraves claims is (compared to a normal sports car) "twice as much fun for half the gas". Inside, there's air conditioning, two inline seats and a top speed of 200kph or so. The drag co-efficient of this thing is phenomenally low @ 0.18 (it'd be even sleaker if they got the rest of those retractable wheels into the body, I bet).

China's '3D Fast Bus'

www.AstroDigi.com

Treehugger.com | August, 3rd 2010 | What if there was a way to get most of the benefits of a subway, but without the costs of digging up all those tunnels?

The Chinese company Shenzhen Hashi Future Parking Equipment Co. thinks it might be able to do just that with a concept it calls the 3D Fast Bus (which has also been called the straddling bus), and kind of giant bus/train that straddles the street and allows cars to drive right under it.

This means that it isn't slowed down by traffic and it doesn't add to traffic either. Read on for more details and a video showing a rendering of the 3D Fast Bus in action.

www.AstroDigi.com

Megamachine.info | Here’s one of the most expensive cars in the world, worth about 2 million euros, or around 2,6 million dollar. And the brand was not very well known in the automotive world. The car is the Tramontana. The results of the European car manufacturers claim based on the Costa Brava, Spain. Tramontana become one of the world’s most expensive brands coupled with premium brands such as Bugatti, Rolls Royce or Mclaren.

www.AstroDigi.com

Worldcarfans quoted as saying on Wednesday (4/11/2009) sports car with two seats open on the hood of the car that created the top artists from Spain, Fernando Leal-Audirac. Tramontana itself is a combination of Formula 1 cars with jet engines!. This car has tremendous power because of the appearance of a twin engine turbo V12 with 760 hp of power that can be pulled from 0-100 km / h in just 3.6 seconds. That’s from the engine innards.

Zephyr Solar Plane Lands After Over 2 Weeks In the Air

www.AstroDigi.com

Treehugger.com | July, 23 2010 | A week ago we wrote about the Zephyr "Eternal Aircraft", an unmanned solar plane that had just broken many records by staying up in the air for 7 days.

Well, the Zephyr has finally landed at the US Army's Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona after 14 days and 24 minutes, setting a new record that will no doubt be broken the next time the Zephyr decides to take off (at this point, breaking records seems to only be a matter of being patient enough, since the solar plane doesn't need refueling anyway)

Monowheel - A One-wheeled Bicycle

www.AstroDigi.com

Obviousmag.org | May, 24th 2008 | Although the concept isn't new and various monocycles of this kind had already been built, it's unlikely you'll find one for sale, even in special stores. That's what happened to british designer Ben Wilson, who, consequently, decided to build his own one-wheeled vehicle, which he simply named Monowheel.

Like many others, the Monowheel is powered by pedals, however, in this case, the rider sits within the wheel, in an almost lied down position. It's not a very confortable position, but this is not an utilitary vehicle of any kind, merely a demonstrative one, ordered for the "XXI Century Man" exhibition in Tokyo.

AGV, High-Speed Train From France

www.AstroDigi.com

Treehugger.com | May 2, 2008 | French President Nicolas Sarkozy made a speech, all kinds of bigshots stood around smiling. The event had all the pomp and circumstance of royalty coming to town, but this isn't about some monarch; it's the unveiling of the extremely fast AGV (Automotrice Grande Vitesse), Alstom's new train.

It's such a big deal for Alstom because the company was this close to bankrupt not long ago. They even compares the AGV to Airbus' A380 in importance and technological innovation. So what's the big deal?
