Bloody Lake Near Baghdad

AstroDigi.com | Looks like the lake tells the sad story of Iraq war. May be, may be not.

The picture noticed in year 2007 shows a blood-soaked lake outside Iraq's Sadr City.

Though there is no official version available, some believe it is a result of pollution or maybe some geological phenomena.

Another view is that slaughterhouses in Iraq sometimes dump blood into canals.

Legend Of The Wem Ghost Solved

It was an image hailed as compelling evidence for the existence of ghosts. As a town hall was being destroyed by fire, an apparition of a little girl - standing behind a rail and surrounded by flames - was apparently captured on camera.

At 4 o'clock that Wednesday afternoon, a man wearing a modest businessman's suit stepped to the Northwest Orient counter at Portland International Airport and paid $20 cash for a one-way ticket to Seattle-Tacoma Airport. The man, roughly 45 years old, gave the name Dan Cooper. Ticket agent Hal Williams assigned him aisle seat 18C in coach aboard Northwest Flight No. 305, scheduled to depart at 4:35 for a half-hour journey to Sea-Tac.

Titanic Didn't Send Signal For 45 Minutes After It Struck Ice

His work - 101 Things You Thought You Knew About The Titanic... But Didn't - is published on Thursday and claims no alert was sent from the ailing vessel for 47 minutes because the ships' officers wanted to keep the disaster quiet.

Flat Deaths Mother Theresa Riggi, Who Charged With Murder

BBC.co.uk | August, 6th 2010 | An American woman whose two sons and daughter were found dead in Edinburgh has been charged with their murder.

Theresa Riggi, 46, is in hospital after falling from the balcony of the property where twins Austin and Luke, eight, and Cecilia, five, were found.

They were discovered on Wednesday afternoon after reports of a gas explosion at the Slateford Road flat.

Police confirmed a 46-year-old woman had been charged with murder.

The Story And Mystery Of Belle Gunness

Bloggersbase.com | She was born in Norway in 1859 and was the youngest of eight children who lived with their parents on a small farm close to Trondheim.

She grew up in great poverty and worked on a big, wealthy farm to gain money to pay for a trip across the Atlantic . She moved to the USA in 1881.

Belle Gunness got married in Chicago in 1884 and opened a confectionary story together with her husband . The business mysteriously burned down as did the couples house in Austin and on both occasions the insurance was paid out.

Belle's husband died in 1900 and he was seen by two different doctors, the family doctor claiming that the man had died from heart failure and another doctor saying there there was signs of strychnine poisoning. The day after her husband's funeral, Belle cashed the insurance money and an inquest was ordered but to this day it is unknown whether an investigation took place. It is known that Belle cashed $8500 and moved with her daughters.
